Communications Assistant-Work Study

The Center for Poverty and Social Policy (CPSP) is seeking a talented part-time communications assistant. The CPSP communications assistant will assist in the Center’s external communications to stakeholders including poverty researchers, academics, policy-makers, advocates, funders, and press. Academic and/or professional interest in social policy and poverty preferred. Design skills are a plus.

Seeking applicants with some knowledge of:

  • social media

  • design

  • website

  • email

  • writing

  • event management and/or

  • press and public affairs

This is a work study position for 8-20 hrs/wk at 15.00/hr. Flexible hours. The position will closely work with the Center’s co-director, Christopher Wimer, and the Center’s communications associate, Sonia Huq. For more information, download the flyer or contact
