Race, Poverty, and Social Policy

The Center on Poverty and Social Policy hosted its 2021 conference on Race, Poverty, and Social Policy. The conference began with opening remarks by Dr. Cecilia Rouse, the chair of President Biden's Council of Economic Advisers followed by a presentation of new findings from CPSP on race, poverty, and social policy in New York City and nationally. Dr. Bradley Hardy of American University offered keynote remarks on the role that social policy can play in reducing racial and ethnic gaps in poverty and other important social and economic outcomes.
